The Detroit Lions are ranked 16th going into the regular season. While they improved significantly last year, they didn't make it to the Superbowl. I propose a higher ranking. They have a healthy quarterback, a large man named Suh, two great back-up quarterbacks, and the blessing of a city occupied by a Mr. Kid Rock (and a killer coney dog). Who needs Terrible Towels?!?! The Lambeau Leap!?!?! The Icky Shuffle?!?! Exactly. I think they'll make the playoffs. (And when they do, I can retire my Steelers jersey.)
